We're just 20 minutes from the nearest beaches; Playa Ventanas, Playa Pinuela and Playa Arco. 30 minutes from Playa Hermosa and Playa Chaman near Uvita, making it easy to enjoy the ocean during the day and return to peaceful jungle privacy in the evening.
Yes, we strongly recommend a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season. The final portion of the road is gravel and uphill, and a 4x4 ensures a smooth and stress-free arrival.
The closest regional airport is in Quepos, about 1 hour away. Many guests fly into San José (SJO) and take a short domestic "hopper" flight to Quepos. If you prefer to drive from San José, the trip takes approximately 4.5 hours and offers beautiful scenic views along the Pacific coast (1st time visitors — we recommend driving during daylight hours).
The road is approximately 85% paved and 15% gravel. The final stretch is a well-maintained gravel road, which is why a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
